perfume bonus

Ordered some stuff online from my friendly avon lady, including a set of two really cute empire waist tops.  The box arrived yesterday, and it was fairly small.  I thought they must have really folded those things up!  The contents revealed no tops, but the addition of a box of perfume spray.  Hmmm, I thought.  This is interesting.  The pack slips said they shipped the tops and the other things I had ordered.  No mention of perfume.  I called today, and they apologized.  They will be sending out the tops.  BUT - I get to keep the perfume (which sells for $34 in the latest sales brochure).  And I really like the stuff.  Was even considering buying some.  Bonus for me!

speed sensor

I am the proud recipient of a brand new vehicle speed sensor.  Not much to look at, but it should prevent the "check engine" and "overdrive off" lights from coming on when the car gets too hot.

What's happened to politeness in our society?  Was at a gas station this morning, and one of the employees was just a few feet away from me cleaning something but wouldn't look up or acknowledge me.  I kept looking at him, ready to say "Hi," "good morning," "great weather this morning," "gonna be a  hot one today".  Anything pleasant and friendly.  But he never looked at me.  It felt so awkward.  It bothered me more than it should.  Do I ignore people when I'm in a different mood?

I hadn't played miniature golf in ages.  A good time was had by all.  And I came in second.  Out of three.

The pricey prescriptions continue.  Another one of the four dailies.  Still not done with my deductible.  What's in these things to make them so expensive??

new medical deductible

The bad news:  my insurance deductible has restarted.
The good news:  this year pharmaceutical deductibles and medical visit deductibles are combined, so I'll knock the total out earlier :)

Today's purchase:  $105 for one month of tripleptal - one of my four daily meds :)
